Aya's new band was called The Leaves. The Leaves decided to take a few photos with some crazy photographer from NJ and much laughter was had, at his expense, about his funny flatlander ways. That's how people roll in Vermont. As a clue in the above photo shows, one of the members was actually too leafy for The Leaves and soon leafed. Other fans of The Leaves banter about lyrics to obscure Leaves songs for other clues. The most famous clue is when Aya sang..."Here's another clue to believe, the cow was Steve." The clues are still a hot topic and discussed in macrobiotic cafes all over Vermont. To date, nobody has a clue but don't tell them that...it's a secret. |
This is Aya. Aya loves music. Aya loves to sing. Aya loves to write songs. One day Aya decided that she wanted to be a performer so she started to perform, traded in Godzilla for Champ and ended up in Vermont. After singing in Vermont for awhile, Mike Gordon asked Aya to sing with his band Ramble Dove. Aya said yes and traveled all over the place. During that time, Aya even became a movie star. But Aya wanted more. So she decided to form her own band. She bid farewell to Mike and although he was a broken bassist, accepted his fate and went back to toiling in obscurity with his other band, Phish. |
Soon after The Leaves fell to the ground, the remaining members were floating on a bed in the middel of Lk Champlain writing songs and trying to figure out what to do next. After two bottles of champagne, a few tequilla shots and a conversation with Champ (he speaks French by the way and is quite a hipster) The Amida Bourbon Project was formed. There was much celebrating. A major part of The Amida Bourbon Prophecy had been fulfilled. But the fun has just begun. The Amida Bourbon Project is involved in some top secret projects; some so secret that they aren't even aware they are involved yet. They recently released their first EP, the eponymous Amida Bourbon Project, completed their first tour of Europe and shuffled the line up a bit.
